WHAT’S NEXT?

We all struggle with areas in our lives that hold us back from a closer relationship with God. Our hope is that the Summit served as an encouragement to help you reach a new level in your relationship with God. Hopefully, your soul feels a little lighter, but we understand that growth is a process, and we want to provide you with resources to help you connect with other people in your community, explore your existing or new relationship with God, and relieve some of the burdens you might be carrying.

GOD’S PROMISES TO US

No matter what obstacles we may face, God gives us the strength to move forward. Below are the promises that He makes to us in the Bible. Through His words, we can find assurance that we are not alone and that He provides peace to all those who seek it.

PROMISES

  • “I will not worry about anything; instead, I will pray about everything. I will tell God what I need, and I will thank Him for all he has done. Then I will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything I can understand. His peace will guard my heart and my mind as I live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7
  • “I am strong and of good courage, I do not fear nor am I afraid, for You, O Lord, are the one who goes with me. You will not leave me nor forsake me.” Deuteronomy 31:6
  • “You, Oh Lord, meet all my needs according to Your riches in glory by Your son, Jesus Christ.” Philippians 4:19
  • “You are my Shepherd, I shall not want.” Psalm 23:1
  • “Lord Jesus, You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a strong mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7
  • “I will humble myself under Your mighty hand and You will exalt me at the proper time. I will cast all of my anxiety on to You, because You care for me.” 1 Peter 5:6-7
  • “By You I can run upon a troop and by You, O Lord, I can leap over a wall!” Psalm 18:29
  • “I am clothed with strength and dignity and I will smile at the future!” Proverbs 31:25
  • “You will accomplish everything that concerns me.” Psalm 138:8
  • “I will trust in You, O Lord, with all my heart and I will not lean on my own understanding. In all my ways I will acknowledge You and You will make my paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
  • “Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life!” Psalm 23:6
  • “You will contend with those who contend with me and You will save my children.” Isaiah 49:25
  • “I will not worry or be anxious, saying, What am I going to eat? Or, What am I going to drink? Or What am I going to wear?…But I will seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, and then all these things will be added unto me.” Matthew 6:31, 33
  • “You will do immeasurably more than all I could ask or imagine, according to the power that is at work within me” Ephesians 3:2
  • “After I have suffered for a little while, You Yourself will perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish me.” 1 Peter 5:10
  • “I am confident of this very thing, that You who have begun a good work in me will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6
  • “I know that all things will work together for the good for me because I love You, Lord and am called according to Your purpose.” Romans 8:28
  • “Lord, I thank You that you will restore the years for me that the locusts have eaten!” Joel 2:25
  • “I know the plans that You have for me…plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give me a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
  • “I will call upon You in the day of trouble and You will rescue me!” Psalm 50:15
  • “Sorrow may last for a night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
  • “You, O Lord, are a sun and a shield; You give grace and glory; no good thing do You withhold from me when I walk uprightly; O, Lord of hosts, how blessed am I when I trust in you!” Psalm 84:11
  • “Because You can do all things, nothing can thwart Your plans for me.” Job 42:2
  • “Lord, even to my old age You will be the same and even to my graying years You will carry me. You have done it in the past and You will do it in the future. You will bear me up and You will deliver me.” Isaiah 46:4
  • “I will not be afraid of the terror by night or of the arrow that flies by day.” Psalm 91:5
  • “For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.’” Romans 10:11
  • “They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but You, Lord, were my stay. You brought me forth also into a broad place; You rescued me because You delight in me.” Psalm 18:18
  • “In you, O Lord, I do take refuge! You will never let me be put to shame; in your righteousness you will deliver me! You will incline your ear to me and rescue me speedily! Psalm 71:1-2
  • You are a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!For you are my rock and my fortress;and for Your name’s sake You lead me and guide me! “ Psalm 31:1-3
  • “For by You all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created in my life through You and for You. You are before all things, and in You all things in my life hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17
  • “I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed, I shattered them, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. For You have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.” Psalm 18:37-39
  • “Whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that overcomes the world – our faith.” 1 John 5:4
  • “No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment I will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17
  • “When the LORD takes pleasure in my way, he causes even my enemies to make peace with me.” Proverbs 16:7
  • “Contend O Lord, with those who contend with me; Fight against those who fight against me. Take hold of the buckler and shield and rise up for my help. Draw also the spear and the battle-axe to meet those who pursue me; say to my soul, ‘I am your salvation!’” Psalm 35:1-2
  • “For it is You who blesses the righteous man, O Lord, You surround him with favor as with a shield.” Psalm 5:12
  • “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime; Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.”  Psalm 30:5
  • “For by my own sword I did not possess the land, and my own arm did not save me, but Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence, for You favored me.” Psalm 44:3
  • “For You are the glory of my strength, and by Your favor my  horn is exalted.” Psalm 89:17
  • “Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17
  • “I sought Your favor with all my heart; Be gracious to me according to Your word.” Psalm 119:58
  • The Lord favors those who fear Him, those who wait for His loving kindness. Psalm 147:11
  • “I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.” Psalms 37:25 KJV
  • “The children of your servants shall dwell secure; their offspring shall be established before you.” Psalm 102:28
  • “Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.” Psalm 112:1-3
  • “He will bless those who fear the Lord. The small together with the great. May the Lord give you increase, you and your children. May you be blessed of the Lord, maker of heaven and earth. The heavens are the heavens of the Lord, but the earth He has given to the sons of men.” Psalm 115: 13-16
  • “His anger is for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy will come in the morning.” Psalm 30:5

    He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay,

  • “When I am afraid I will put my trust in You; in God, whose word I praise, in God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?” Psalm 56:3-4
  • “Which one of you, if your son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:9-12
  • “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, until the destroying storms pass by.”  Psalm 57:1
  • “He will cover you with His pinions,and under His wings you may seek refuge;His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.You will not be afraid of the terror by night,or of the arrow that flies by day;of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand,but it shall not approach you.” Psalm 91:4-7
  • “I will have no fear of bad news; my heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.”  Psalm 112:7
  • 1Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:1-2
  • “He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities.For as high as the heavens are above the earth,so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:10-11
  • “My mother and my father may desert me, but the Lord will take me up!” Psalm 27:10
  • “Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.God settles the lonely in to a home;He leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.” Psalm 68:5-6
  • “When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, YOU knew my path, in the way where I walk.” Psalm 142:3
  • “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” For it is He who delivers me from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover me with His pinions, and under His wings I seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark; I  will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day;of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon. A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not approach me.I will only look on with my eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. For I have made the Lord, my refuge,even the Most High, my dwelling place. No evil will befall me, nor will any plague come near my tent. For He will give His angels charge concerning me, to guard me in all my ways. They will bear me up in their hands, so that I  do not strike my foot against a stone.I will tread upon the lion and cobra, the young lion and the serpent I will trample down.
  • ‘Because you have loved Me, therefore I will deliver you; I will set you securely on high, because you  have known My name.  You will call upon Me, and I will answer you; I will be with you in trouble; I will rescue you and honor you.With a long life I will satisfy you And let you see My salvation.” Psalm 91
